Owen is the founder and General Partner of Opal Ventures. He previously built On Deck Health, a community for earliest-stage health tech founders and was COO at Osmosis, a Felicis and Greycroft-back health tech startup acquired by Elseiver. Owen began his career as a special education teacher in Washington, DC through Teach For America.

Matthew is an Analyst at Opal Ventures and a 2024 Venture for America Fellow. Prior to joining Opal, Matthew worked in data analytics at NASA and helped grow several startups including Utopia Labs and Clever Real Estate. Matthew began his journey in biomedical research at Children’s National Hospital and later at Harvard Medical School.
